Travis Webb has been studying one movement art or another since childhood. In high school his fascination with learning kinetic arts deepened though a partner dance course.  While the class included waltz, west and east-coast Swing, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Two Step, it was Argentine Tango, with its improvisational freedom and emphasis on connection, which inspired him most.  During the same time period Travis also studied Tap, Ballet and Contemporary. Opting out of a traditional schooling in favor of pursuing a reasonable education, in 2007 Travis moved to Boulder Colorado to work with a company called Dance of the Heart as an assistant teacher. since then he has studied in Buenos Aires;  co-owned a studio in Taos, lived and taught in Albuquerque, Santa Barbara and LA. His other practices include:   Contact Improv, Yoga, Tai Chi, Chi Gong, Aikido, Kendo, Iaido, Karate, Self Defense, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, juggling and the Performing arts (acting, improvisation and singing.) He currently lives in Taos NM where he is developing an accelerated learning system for the movement arts.
